ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), have teamed up with Buffalo Wild Wings and Havertys to present the Buffalo Wild Wings "Blazin' Challenge" wing eating contest during the first intermission on Friday, November 4th at the Vipers-RiverDogs game. The "Blazin' Challenge" consists of 12 contestants eating 12 "blazin' wings" in six minutes or less. The individual who eats the most wings will receive a Vipers jersey, a gift certificate to Buffalo Wild Wings, and the opportunity to sit in the Havertys "Best Seats in the House" for the remainder of the game. Anyone interested in participating can pre-register at the Roanoke BW3's or at the Vipers Fan Zone before the 10-minute mark of the first period on Friday.

"We are proud partners of the Roanoke Valley Vipers," said Jeff Tate, manager of Buffalo Wild Wings in Roanoke, "and its exciting to be able to offer hockey fans the opportunity to enjoy promotions like these." Tate will also be dropping the ceremonial puck Friday before the start of the game.

The Vipers recently announced that they have added a new level of seating to their setup at the Roanoke Civic Center. The new level, known as the "Top 8 for 8" section, will fittingly include seats in the top eight rows of what are currently the "Goal" sections, which include sections 1-5, 13-22, and 30-34. Any fan attending a Vipers home game will be able to purchase a ticket in this section for just $8.00!

Vipers tickets are on sale now through the Roanoke Civic Center box office, tickets.com, or the Vipers front office by calling (540) 345-PUCK (7825). The Richmond RiverDogs will be in town November 4th and 5th as the Vipers will look to improve upon their 1-0-0 record against their cross-state rivals. Come out and catch the Buffalo Wild Wings "Blazin' Challenge"!
