
Ronald and the Mechanics open at garage tonight

Ronald McDonald will be our special guest tonight at the "Garage" as Danton Cole and the Motor City Mechanics open at home against our western Michigan rivals the Kalamazoo K-Wings at 7:30pm. All fans will receive a very cool Mechanics puck sponsored by McDonald's. I"m Loving it! Tonight's game also features a post game distribution of free Macomb Daily Newspapers wrapped in a special commemorative Mechanics promotional section.
Tonight's game features a pre-game Central Macomb Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, a special performance by the Fraser Figure Skating Club, Ronald McDonald First Puck Ceremony and free autographs with Ronald McDonald.
Several youth hockey teams are attending the game tonight and will be introduced during the First Intermission as part of the Youth Hockey Opening Night Celebration. The Clark Park Hockey Kids will also be introduced,and tonight's game will feature a check presentation to the Clark Park Coalition for the money Mechanics fans raised at the October 13 Preseason Game in Troy. The Clark Park Coalition supports the athletic programs at Clark Park including youth hockey. Clark Park is located on Clark Avenue just off of I-75 South. Clark Park is the only active outdoor hockey facility in Metro Detroit.
