Manchester, NH- Outfielder Ron Davenport was placed on the disabled list yesterday after spraining his ankle just before last night's game. First baseman Vito Chiaravalloti took his spot on the roster as he was activated from the disabled list.

The 24-year-old Davenport is hitting .186 this season with the Fisher Cats with three home runs and 13 RBI in 34 games. He began the season with New Hampshire by going 0-for-27 before getting sent to Single-A Dunedin for 39 games, where he hit .337 with seven homers and 26 RBI before re-joining the Fisher Cats June 6. He was originally selected by the Blue Jays in the 22nd round of the 2000 draft.

The 24-year-old Chiaravalloti is hitting .188 with six homers and 18 RBI in 39 games with the Fisher Cats this season. He was placed on the disabled list on June 28 to create a roster spot. He was originally selected by Toronto in the 15th round of the 2003 draft out of the University of Richmond.

The Fisher Cats are home tonight at 6:35 PM to begin a five game series with the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox). It's another Friday Night Fireworks day with the Fisher Cats with a special post game fireworks display at Merchantsauto.com Stadium after the game.
