(Charleston, WV- July 20, 2014)- The West Virginia Power dropped a 10-4 final to the Rome Braves on Sunday afternoon at Appalachian Power Park. The Braves plated six runs in the ninth to earn the win behind a Carlos Franco grand slam.

The Braves were on the board first with a run in the second, but the Power responded with a pair in the bottom half behind a Chris Diaz RBI single. West Virginia added another in the third with a Michael Fransoso solo blast.

The Braves, however, came right back with two in the sixth on a two-run home run off the bat of Ross Wilson. The Power took the lead back when a Rome error scored a run in the bottom of the sixth.

Rome would not be done yet as the Braves plated one in the eighth to tie the ballgame and then posted six in the ninth to pull away highlighted by a Carlos Franco grand slam.

Isaac Sanchez (2-3) was charged with the loss while Richie Tate (4-3) earned the win.
