Calgary Stampeders News Release

Calgary Stampeders receiver Eric Rogers has been honoured as a Canadian Football League player of the week for his play in the Stamps' 36-32 victory over the BC Lions on Saturday.

Rogers accounted for 20 of Calgary's points in the comeback win as he hauled in three touchdowns - including the game-winning score in the final minute of play - and added a pair of two-point convert receptions. It was the first three-touchdown game by a Calgary receiver during the regular season since Maurice Price in the 2013 Labour Day Classic. Rogers also had three touchdown catches in last year's Western Final.

In Saturday's game, Rogers had nine catches - matching his career single-game high - for 100 yards. Rogers also recovered the ball on the Stamps' onside kick late in the fourth quarter, a critical play that set the stage for his winning touchdown reception.

For the season, the 28-year-old Glendora, Calif., native has 13 catches for 143 yards and three touchdowns in two games. Rogers now has 20 touchdowns in 30 career regular-season games for the Stamps to go with eight scores in six post-season contests.
