Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage hockey club will drop the puck on the 2006-07 inaugural season on October 20 at in-state rival, the Colorado Eagles. The 32 home, 32 away game schedule begins with a six-game road trip. The Rage plays its first home game at the new, state-of-the-art Broomfield Event Center on November 10 against Tulsa.

The Rocky Mountain Rage is one of two expansion teams in the Central Hockey League's 17-team field. The Rage will join the Colorado Eagles, Oklahoma City Blazers and Wichita Thunder in the northwest division.

The 64-game schedule features 26 northwest division contests and 48 weekend games (Fri-Sat). The Rage will also go head-to-head with 2005 CHL champion the Colorado Eagles more than any other opponent, playing 12 regular season games. The Rage will have the opportunity to host 2006 defending CHL Champion Laredo Bucks once this season on January 23. Rocky Mountain will host all CHL teams at the Broomfield Event Center this season except for Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Meanwhile, the Rage will not be making the trip to Odessa, Austin and Laredo. The Rage will conclude the regular season with a home-game on March 25 (2007).

"We have an exciting first season lined up," said Tracy Egeland, Rage head coach. "We are expecting to have a good conference with a lot of skill and talent on display. I think fans will be happy to see this level of hockey."

Season seats are available now for the 2006-07 seasons by calling 303-439-RAGE. Season seats range from $15 to $37 per game, depending on price level, term and availability.
