2006-07 Laredo Bucks Schedule Announced

LAREDO, Texas - The 2006 CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks and the Central Hockey League released today the schedule for the 2006-07 regular season. Laredo will open up the 2006-07 season on the road on Saturday, October 21st, at Corpus Christi. The Bucks are offering a family four pack of season tickets for $999 for the 2006-07 CHL regular season, which works out to just over $7 a seat per game and is a 46 % savings off walkup prices. Two thirds of the CHL schedule will take place on prime weekend dates, with 363 games scheduled on either Fridays or Saturdays, and the campaign focuses heavily on geographic and natural rivalries, with nearly 49% all contests featuring divisional play.

The Bucks will play their first two games of the 2006-07 season on the road. After visiting Corpus Christi on October 21st, the Bucks will travel to Bossier-Shreveport on October 26th. The game will be a rematch of the 2006 CHL President's Cup Finals which the Bucks captured four games to one.

Laredo then comes home and raises the 2005-06 CHL President's Cup Championship banner prior to their home opener against Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, October 28th. Also the Bucks players will receive their championship rings during their home opener at the LEC.

The Bucks will play 39 of their 64 games inside the Southeast Division. Laredo will match up 14 times, seven home and seven road, against Rio Grande Valley the most of any opponent on the schedule. The Bucks first visit to Rio Grande Valley comes on November 10th.

The Bucks will play Corpus Christi seven times at home and six on the road for a total of 13 games. The Rayz visit the LEC for the first time on October 31st.

Laredo and Austin will match up 12 times, six home and six road. Laredo's first trip to Austin is on October 29th, while Austin visits Laredo for the first time on December 2nd.

2006-07 SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

Bossier-Shreveport visits the LEC on November 11th on Veteran's Day.

Memphis visits the LEC on March 17th on St. Patrick's Day.

Laredo hosts Rio Grande Valley on December 31st in the fifth annual New Year's Eve game.

The Bucks longest home stand is five games from December 31st-January 13th. Laredo will host Rio Grande Valley twice, Austin, Arizona and Youngstown.

The Bucks longest road trip is six games, from January 23rd - February 2nd. Laredo will visit Rocky Mountain, Colorado, Corpus Christi twice, New Mexico and Arizona. The trip will span 5,652 miles.

Laredo visits Colorado on January 24th, and then hosts the Eagles on March 9th at the LEC.

New Mexico comes to the LEC on November 15th.

The expansion Arizona Sundogs come to the LEC on January 12th and February 9th.

The Bucks close the regular season on March 24th in Corpus Christi.

Seven times the Bucks will play three games in three nights in the 2006-07 regular season.

A deposit of $50 is required per seat to reserve season tickets for the upcoming 2006-07 Bucks season. Fans will receive one entrant per seat that has a paid $50 deposit by August 19th, into a drawing for a 2006 Bucks CHL championship ring. There will be a drawing on October 28th at the Bucks home opener in which one lucky season ticket holder will win their own Bucks 2006 CHL Championship ring.

At every home game during the 2006-07 Bucks regular season one lucky season ticket holder will win a prize. Prizes include a road trip with the Bucks, honorary coach for a period, a skate party with the players and dozens more prizes. Only season ticket holders who put down a deposit by August 19th will be eligible to win these prizes.

BUCKS OPEN HOUSE

- On August 19th the Bucks will hold their second annual open house at the LEC. There will be CHL championship merchandise on sale, as well as behind the scenes tours of the LEC and Bucks players will be on hand to sign autographs. The open house on August 19th is the last day that fans can lay down a $50 deposit per 2006-07 Bucks season ticket and be eligible for the drawing for a 2006 Laredo Bucks CHL Championship ring. For the second straight year the Bucks will partner with the Laredo Animal Protective Society and will have dogs and cats available for adoption at the open house. Adoption fees run $50 for dogs and $30 for cats. The fee includes rabies shots, distemper shots, spay or neuter, plus a bath and dip.

Doctors Hospital will conduct a free health screening at the open house. The Doctors Hospital health screening will feature body fat analysis, blood pressure checks, height, weight and health information.
