Rocks rained out in Salem again

Salem, VA --- The Wilmington Blue Rocks (35-35, 29-36) and the Salem Avalanche saw their doubleheader rained out on Friday night. The games will not be made up. It marks the seventh rainout for the Blue Rocks this season, including consecutive nights in Salem.

The Rocks split the two games played on the four-game set and lost the season series, going just 6-12 against the Avalanche on the year. The Blue Rocks finished 3-4 at Salem Memorial Stadium.

Wilmington returns home for a Northern Division Playoff preview as the first-half champion Blue Rocks host the second-half champion Frederick Keys. The three-game set starts Saturday night at Frawley Stadium with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch. Saturday marks the final fireworks night of the season for the Blue Rocks, with a post-game fireworks how presented by Charles Schwab.
