June 23, 2011 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
New York Boulders News Release
BROCKTON, Mass. - The Rockland Boulders defeated the Brockton Rox 5-3 on Thursday night in Can-Am League action. Both teams were rained out yesterday in Rockland County, and were set to play a double-header tonight.
However inclement weather delayed the start of game one, forcing game two to be cancelled.
Sean Smith homered in the game for Rockland, his fifth of the season, while Drew Coffey picked up his first win ever as a Boulder throwing five innings of shutout ball while striking out five.
Rockland moves to 9-14 with the win, and welcomes in the New York Federals for a four game home stand this weekend.
