For the first time since the 2019-20 season, the Kelowna Rockets will host a game at Prospera Place that will allow for 100 percent capacity.

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced Tuesday that COVID-19 capacity limits will be lifted in the Interior Health region of British Columbia for indoor events and gatherings where proof of vaccination is required.

"We have waited a long time for this news," said Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton. "The Kelowna Rockets and Prospera Place have had vaccine passports and masking protocols in place since the season began. We can't wait to welcome all of the loyal Rockets fan base who meet the British Columbia vaccination passport criteria back into the building. Beginning tomorrow night our fans will be allowed to see Rockets hockey in person once again."

The Rockets next home game is tomorrow night, when they'll host the Florida Panthers prospect Justin Sourdif and the Vancouver Giants at 7:05 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets for all Rockets home games at selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050. The box office is open 11:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and opens at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday home game days.

All fans attending Rockets games will need to abide by the BC Provincial Health Authority, Prospera Place and the Western Hockey League's COVID-19 health and safety requirements which includes masks, double vaccination and their vaccine passport.
