Americans Host Toy Drive Benefiting Toys for Tots
November 30, 2021 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Tri-City Americans News Release
The Tri-City Americans hosted a Toy Drive at the Toyota Center on Wednesday, November 29 benefiting our local Toys for Tots. All donations will be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children throughout the Mid-Columbia.
In addition to the toys donated by Americans fans, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 598 donated four bikes that the Americans players assembled last week. Every year they give hundred of bikes to community based organizations in our area through the non-profit Bikes for Tikes.
The Americans will continue collecting donations for local children this Saturday at their annual Fred Meyer Teddy Bear Toss game. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to the game, and throw them on the ice when the Americans score their first goal. The donated toys will be distributed through numerous local organizations.
