The Kelowna Rockets will look to extend their point streak to ten games when they hit the ice in the start of a home and home series on Friday night against Everett Silvertips. The series will start in Everett on Friday at 7:05 pm before shifting back to Prospera Place on Saturday to wrap up the season series.

Saturday's game will feature live music from Chick Jagger throughout the game.

Kelowna, 7-0-1-1 in their last nine, have climbed to within a point of fourth place in the Western Conference standings as of Thursday morning. The Wenatchee Wild, who are in fourth, have a game in hand on Kelowna. In the playoffs the top eight teams in each conference clinch a playoff spot, while the the top four teams have home ice advantage. To learn more about the playoff format click here.

On Wednesday the Rockets took on the Prince George Cougars, who are ranked first on this week's CHL Top Ten Rankings, picking up a valuable point in extra time. Trailing 4-1 heading into the third period, Kelowna scored four unanswered goals to chase the Cougars starting goalie. Prince George pressed, tying the game with 2:28 to play in regulation forcing overtime. In extra time, while on a delayed call, Ondrej Becher handed the puck off to Hudson Thornton (16) who ripped a shot through traffic past Jari Kykkanen to secure the victory for Prince George.

Unlike the Rockets, the Silvertips did not have a midweek game. They've been idle since Friday, March 8, where they defeated the Victoria Royals 4-1 on home ice. They've played just three games since March 1, while the Rockets have hit the ice five times in that span.
