The Kelowna Rockets picked up their third win of the weekend with a come from behind 5-4 victory over the Vancouver Giants at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, BC.

The Rockets burst out of the gate with a pair of goals in the opening two minutes of the game. The Giants pushed back with three straight goals to take the lead before the end of the first period. Talyn Boyko replaced Jari Kykkanen in net for Kelowna to start the second period. The Rockets then tied the game on a goal from Andrew Cristall and Mark Liwiski pushed them ahead with a penalty shot. Vancouver tied the game early in the final frame, but Liwiski played the hero with his second goal of the game.

2005 born Andrew Cristall posted his sixth three-point game of the season, notching a goal and two assists, while overage forward Mark Liwiski hit 20 goals on the season.

Gabriel Szturc (14) and Turner McMillen (10) went back to back with a pair of goals in the first two minutes of the game. Ethan Semeniuk (6) cut the lead in half, and then Connor Horning (9) and Tom Cadieux (3) cashed in a pair of power play goals.

Andrew Cristall (19) pulled Kelowna within one on a pretty passing play. While short handed, Mark Liwiski (19) gave the Rockets the lead again on a penalty shot.

Jaden Lipinski (3) tied the game early in the third. With 3:39 to go in the game, Tyson Feist made a long pass off the sideboards to a full-speed Liwiski (20) going backhand with the game-winner.

Kykkanen stopped eight of the eleven shots he faced in the first period. Boyko then turned aside 19 of the 20 shots fired on him through two periods of action.

Kelowna outshot Vancouver 35-31.

The Rockets were zero-for-four with the power play, while the Giants were two-for-five.

The Rockets will be back in action Friday night when they head to Kamloops to face the Blazers, puck drop is set for 7:00 pm. You can watch the game on CHL TV or listen on AM1150.
