Rockets Captain Sissons Sidelined with Injury
March 18, 2013 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Kelowna Rockets News Release
Kelowna Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton announced on Monday that Rockets captain Colton Sissons will be sidelined with an upper body injury for eight to 12 weeks.
Sissons was injured in last Saturday's game in Vancouver.
"We played without Colton for a number of games in December and January and we only lost one game and we don't expect anything different now," said Hamilton. "It's a tough loss but now we have to play long enough to get him back in the line-up."
On Sunday, Sissons was named the Rockets Most Valuable Player and Top Defensive forward. He also missed 11 games earlier in the season due to injury.
The Rockets open the WHL playoffs this Friday and Saturday in Kelowna against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
