Rockets Assign Johnson to NBA D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers

HOUSTON - Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has assigned guard Nick Johnson to Houston's single-affiliation NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley.

Johnson (6-3, 200, Arizona), has appeared in 17 games this season averaging 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per game for the Rockets. He will begin his third stint in the NBA D-League where he has appeared in 14 games (including 12 starts) and averaged 20.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 35.3 minutes per game for the Vipers.

Johnson was selected by the Rockets 42nd overall in the 2014 NBA Draft.
