Maine Celtics News Release

PORTLAND - February 4, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, will have two representatives at the 2015 NBA Development League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire, as the league announced today that forward Chris Babb and guard Tim Frazier have both been selected by a vote of the league's 18 head coaches. They will be coached by Scott Morrison and the rest of the Red Claws staff, who were named to the All-Star Game because of Maine's best record in the Eastern Conference through Jan. 25.

Frazier, the point guard of the Red Claws, has recorded two triple-doubles this season. Joining Maine out of Boston Celtics training camp, Frazier is averaging 15.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. He is currently 3rd in the D-League in assists and 5th in steals (2.0 per game).

Babb, who played with the Red Claws and the Celtics last season, is averaging 16.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Only ten players per conference are selected. The ninth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game will be a part of the NBA All-Star 2015 lineup on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Prospects and Futures teams, made up of 20 top NBA D-League players, will take to the court at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in a game slated to air live on NBA TV.

The Red Claws play three games this weekend, all at the Portland Expo, before the All-Star break. Maine hosts Iowa tomorrow night at 7 p.m., Westchester on Saturday night at 7 p.m., and Delaware on Sunday at 5 p.m.
