Ashwaubenon, Wis. - The Green Bay Rockers walked it off for the second straight weekend Sunday afternoon, taking down the Wausau Woodchucks 11-10 at Capital Credit Union Park, led by a walk-off sacrifice fly from Jayson Jones (Arkansas).

The Rockers also snapped a five-game losing streak Sunday with the victory at home and will now head into a league wide off day with a dramatic one-run victory over the Woodchucks to finish off to a four-game homestand dating back to Thursday.

In the first inning, Wausau took an early 1-0 lead on a bases loaded walk drawn by Andrew Jimenez (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) but it was Green Bay who took the lead on a two-run homer from Jones and an RBI infield single from Jack Holman (UCLA), as this put the Rockers ahead 3-1 through the first inning.

The Woodchucks made it a 3-2 game off an error by Green Bay, and that score remained the case through three innings after both sides went scoreless in the third inning of play.

Wausau scored six runs in the fourth with three of them coming off the bat of Brent Widder (University of Evansville) on a three-RBI double and the Woodchucks took an 8-3 lead through three and a half innings following the six-run outburst for the visitors.

However, the Rockers made it an 8-6 game off a two-RBI single from Kendal Ewell (Kentucky) and a double steal that scored Cooper Kelly (Kansas), with this trimming the deficit to 8-6 with the game approaching the fifth.

Green Bay tied things up courtesy of a two-run homer from Holman as his second home run of the season put the Rockers squared with Wausau at 8-8 heading into the sixth at Capital Credit Union Park.

Following a scoreless sixth inning on both sides, Wausau tacked on two runs in the seventh with a two-run homer from Colin Brueggemann (Oklahoma St) giving the Woodchucks their ninth and 10th runs of the ballgame and putting them ahead by two through six and a half innings of play.

After no runs came across in the bottom of the seventh and the top of the eighth, Green Bay made it a one-run ballgame off an RBI groundout from Carlos Hernandez (Anderson University) making it a 10-9 score approaching the ninth, with the Rockers in search of the walk-off victory.

AJ Anzai (Chapman) led off the bottom of the ninth with a towering solo shot to right center field, tying it up at 10-10 with still no one out in the frame.

Following the Rockers loading up the bases, that set the stage for Jones to drive home the game winning run, as on a sacrifice fly, Andrew Harris (Wisconsin-Parkside) ran home from third to seal the deal for Green Bay, handing them the walk-off win Sunday afternoon in the last regular season meeting against the Woodchucks.

Following a league wide off day Monday, the Rockers begin a four-game road trip with a two-game series against the Kokomo Jackrabbits. First pitch from Kokomo Municipal Stadium is set for 6:05 p.m. CT.
