Wausau, Wis.- The Rockers traveled to Athletic Park on Friday night where they dropped game two of the series with the Wausau Woodchucks. An early six runs from the opponents would be enough to beat Green Bay 6-5.

This game was highlighted by an immediate onslaught of runs. In the first three and a half innings, all eleven runs of the game were scored. Green Bay would score two runs in the first and second innings, adding one last run in the fourth.

Starting on the mound for the Rockers was Grayson Walker (Dickinson). The appearance would be his seventh of the season where he gave up six earned runs in two innings of work.

The Rockers opened scoring in this contest right away. In the first four batters, Green Bay put two runs across off the bat of right fielder Jojo Jackson (Georgia State). His two-RBI double would put him at 22 RBIs on the season, giving the Rockers a 2-0 lead.

After the Woodchucks would get three of their own in the bottom of the frame, Green Bay scored two more runs in the second. After hits from George Wolkow (South Carolina) and Cooper Kelly (Kansas), Center fielder Kendal Ewell (Kentucky) hit a two-RBI double to give the Rockers a 4-3 lead.

Wausau matched their run total from the first inning by scoring three in the bottom of the second. Designated hitter Colin Brueggemann (Oklahoma State) cleared the bases with a three-RBI triple, giving Wausau a 6-4 lead.

Jake Liberta (Hawaii-Hilo) would relieve Walker on the hill to start the third inning. He pitched three scoreless innings of middle-relief work for the Rockers, where he only allowed one hit.

Wolkow would continue his hot streak at the plate in the fourth inning. With a 2-0 count, Wolkow crushed a home run to right field, being his second-straight night with a home run. His second of the season would bring the Rockers within one run.

Henry Chabot (Chapman) would be the next arm for Green Bay. The right-hander would match Liberta's numbers, tossing three scoreless innings of his own.

The Rockers would strand four base runners across their last two innings and would eventually fall to the Woodchucks 6-5.

The Rockers have now started the second half of the season with a 2-2 record. They are tied for second place with both Wausau and Lakeshore.

Up next for the Rockers is the first of the two-game set with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. First pitch from Herr-Baker Field is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
