Rochester Red Wings to Host Wegmans Family Fun Night July 15

ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings will host Wegmans Family Fun Night on Sunday, July 15, when Ted Allen of Food Network's prime-time series "Chopped" will be on hand at Frontier Field for a cooking demonstration and book signing. The evening also features a post-game fireworks show and food drive.

Allen, who previously starred in the Emmy Award-winning show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," will perform a cooking demonstration from 5:15 - 5:45 p.m. in the Red Wings Hall of Fame. The author of In My Kitchen will then host a book signing from 5:45 - 7:30 p.m. (Books must be purchased at the ballpark during the event.) Gates open at 5:00 p.m. The Red Wings and Toledo Mud Hens square off at 6:35 p.m.

The Red Wings and Wegmans are asking fans to bring three cans of vegetables to donate to Food Shelf, which helps individuals and families in need. All fans who make the donation will have a chance to win free groceries.
