OH, THAT'S NICE: The Red Wings improved to 7-6, their best 13-game start since the 2007 club went 10-3...Rochester also improved to 5-2 when scoring first.

CHILL OUT!: Tonight's gametime temperature of 49 degrees was 25 degrees cooler than Monday's gametime temperature of 74 degrees.

FIRST THING'S FIRST: Daryl Thompson notched his first win in his 3rd start...Thompson last year didn't get his first win until his 8th start...he became the 5th different Red Wings pitcher to earn a victory this year.

FIRST THING'S FIRST: Red Wings pitchers have gone 3 straight games without giving up a first-inning run...they had given up a first-inning run in 2 of their previous 3 contests...the Wings have outscored the opposition 5-4 in the first inning overall.

HIT PARADE: The Red Wings collected 5 hits in their 2-run 5th inning, their most hits in an inning this year...3 of the 5 knocks were infield singles.
