WE MISSED YOU, ROCHESTER: The Red Wings dropped the series finale in Buffalo 1-0, as the Bisons completed the three-game sweep...RHP Cory Abbott pitched four innings and allowing just a single run which came via the long ball...DH Riley Adams provided the offense for Rochester, logging three of the squad's six knocks...OF Josh Palacios' single contest, extending his on-base streak to 27 games and his hit-streak to 14 games...relievers RHP Jefry Rodriguez, LHP Alberto Baldonado, and RHP Mason Thompson provided Rochester with four scoreless innings out of the pen, surrendering just one hit following Abbott's outing...RHP Franklyn Kilome will get the nod today for the Wings who will oppose the RailRiders' left-handed arm in Ken Waldichuk.

THAT'S BASEBALL: Saturday night, the Wings surrendered six hits and allowed 10 runs...Sunday afternoon, the Wings surrendered six hits again, but this time only allowed one run...the Wings lost both contests...in games where Rochester pitcher has given up six hits, exactly, they hold a record of 1-6.

CORY PUNCHES TICKETS: Wings starter RHP Cory Abbott went four innings and allowed just one run in Rochester's loss to Buffalo Sunday afternoon...the righty has a 1.76 ERA over his last four starts (15.1 IP/3 ER), the best on the team over that span (since 6/23)...his 16 strikeouts average out to 9.5 K/9 across in those outings, ranking second amongst Wings pitchers with multiple starts over that span (Cade Cavalli 12.3 K/9).

THREE FOR RILEY: DH Riley Adams went 3-for-4 with a double on Sunday...his three knocks are his most in a Wings uniform this season (seven games)...the former third-round pick by the Toronto Blue Jays is batting .310 (9-for-29) since joining the squad on July 3...Adams was the only Red Wing to have multiple hits in the contest and the only Wing with an extra-base hit.

THE BULLY-PEN: RHP Jefry Rodriguez, LHP Alberto Baldonado, and RHP Mason Thompson pitched a combined four innings, giving up one hit without allowing a run...Rodriguez led the trio with four strikeouts in two innings, bringing his season total to 56, the most he's had in a minor-league season since 2018...the righty ranks third on the Wings' squad in punch outs this season...Thompson has given up just one earned run in six relief appearances this season, good for a 1.17 ERA (7.2 IP/1 ER).

JOEY RAKES: 1B Joey Meneses' single in the first inning extended his hit-streak to five games...he has at least one knock in 7-of-his-last-8 games played...the veteran ranks second in the International League in hits with 102, trailing only Alec Burleson (MEM)...the Mexico-native also extended his errorless-game streak to 41 games, posting a .993 fielding percentage this season.

HOMESICK: Rochester's Sunday afternoon loss at Buffalo puts the Wings at 22-23 on the road this season...the club is below .500 away from home for the first time since the season opener (4/5 at Toledo)...the Red Wings were shutout twice in the series, bringing their season total to seven...five of the squad's seven times being shutout this season have been on the road...the Wings have been shutout twice in a single series just one other time this season (vs. SWB 6/14 & 6/18).

CAUGHT STREAKING: OF Josh Palacios' sixth-inning single in the series finale extended his on-base streak to 27 games and his hit-streak to 14 games...both are currently the longest active streaks in the International League...since his on-base streak began on June 19, Palacios is batting a team-leading .359 (37-for-103) while slashing .416/.466/.882 over the stretch.

COCOS LOCOS: The Rochester Red Wings will be transforming into the Cocos Locos de Rochester for the day as part of Minor League Baseball's Copa de la Diversion program...in celebration of the large LatinX community in Rochester, Cocos Locos games will feature the music, dancing, food, and fun of Hispanic Culture across three different dates (5/22, 7/26, 9/2) during the 2022 season...the Red Wings roster features eleven players from Spanish-speaking countries....the Wings last played as the Cocos Locos on May 22nd when they took a 4-2 loss against Lehigh Valley.

FRANK THE TANK: The Wings will send RHP Franklyn Kilome to the mound Tuesday for the opener of a six game-set against Scranton/WB, which will mark his second Triple-A start of the season...his first outing earned him his first Triple-A win of 2022 (5.2 IP, 8 H, 0 ER), and his first since September 3, 2021 as a member of the Syracuse Mets...in games following a loss this season, the right-hander has logged six starts working 39 innings with a 3.46 ERA...his 39 strikeouts to 8 walks in those outings is good for a 4.9 K/BB.
