BUFFALO, N.Y. - In a pitcher's duel at Sahlen Field, the Worcester Red Sox (49-45) edged the Buffalo Bisons (49-45) by a 2-1 final on Tuesday night.

The game was scoreless through five innings. In the sixth, Devlin Granberg led off the inning with a double against Buffalo starter Casey Lawrence. He advanced to third on a fly ball from Connor Wong. Then, Triston Casas hit a sacrifice fly to plate Granberg and put Worcester on top 1-0.

Buffalo responded in the bottom of the sixth. Three-straight singles from Gabriel Moreno, L.J. Talley, and Jordan Groshans tied the game.

The WooSox took the lead in the ninth inning as Ryan Fitzgerald brought in the go-ahead run on a sharply hit fielder's choice that scored Christin Stewart.
