HEAD, SHOULDERS, KNEES, AND TOLEDO: The Rochester Red Wings play the 2nd game of their 4-game series vs. Toledo (Tigers), continuing the weekend homestand after yesterday's 4-3 come-from-behind victory. Following the weekend set, the Red Wings will hit the road for 8 games, making stops at Norfolk (Orioles) and Durham (Rays). Then it's back home for 4 against International League North Division rival Syracuse (Nationals) July 24-27.

a Tonight's game is being broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Sports (TWCS).

a Following this 4-game set vs. Toledo, the Red Wings will play just 4 of their next 20 games at Frontier Field through August 5. Rochester will, however, play 18 of its final 29 games along Morrie Silver Way beginning August 6.

CELLAR DWELLERS NO MORE?: The Red Wings enter tonight's game tied for 5th place in the IL North with Syracuse. A Red Wings' win and a Chiefs' loss vs. Empire State (Yankees) tonight would get the Wings out of last place for the first time since May 12, when they entered play 14-20 and a half game up on the 14-21 Chiefs. Syracuse would go on to win that night vs. Rochester and later complete a 4-game sweep to keep the Wings in last place.

a The Red Wings have posted 2 straight last-place finishes in the IL North, going 49-95 in 2010 and 53-91 in 2011. They most recently finished out of the cellar in 2009, when their 70-74 record placed them 4th in the North.

THE CLIMB TO .500: The Red Wings enter play tonight 4 games under .500. A win tonight would get them to 3 games below .500 for the first time since May 9, when entered play that night at Pawtucket (Red Sox) with a 14-17 record.

a The Red Wings were 4 games below the break-even point on 2 occasions since May 9, but they failed to get to 3 under both times. Rochester was 29-33 entering play on June 10, but lost 8-1 at Indianapolis (Pirates). The Wings also were 43-47 entering the 2nd game of Sunday's doubleheader vs. Lehigh Valley, but lost 7-1.

a Since sitting a season-worst 10 games below .500 at 20-30 on May 28, the Red Wings are 24-18.

a The Wings haven't been .500 since they entered play April 26, posting a 9-9 record before getting swept in a doubleheader vs. Syracuse.

HOME IMPROVEMENT: With last night's win vs. Toledo, the Red Wings picked up their 32nd victory at Frontier Field to match their win total at the downtown ballpark from last year. The Wings in 2012 are 32-23 at Frontier Field, a record that includes a 4-4 mark as the "road" team against the Empire State Yankees. The 2011 Red Wings went 32-41 in 73 games, including one as the "road" team against Charlotte (White Sox).

a The Red Wings are unbeaten in 13 of their 16 series here. Since losing 2 of their first 5 series at Frontier, the Red Wings have lost just one of their last 11 sets along Morrie Silver Way. They dropped 3 of 4 vs. Durham June 18-21.

PITCHING IN: The Red Wings lead the IL with a 2.72 ERA (26 ER/86.0 IP) in 10 games in July, slightly ahead of Toledo's 3.09 ERA (24 ER/70.0 IP) in 8 games. Rochester pitchers have tossed scoreless baseball in 30 of 33 innings during their last 4 games.

a Liam Hendriks tonight is looking for his 7th win, which would match the club's high from 2011 from Andrew Baldwin and Eric Hacker.
