
Hens Fall 7-3 in Rochester

Poor defense hurt the Hens in Rochester as they fell 7-3 to the Red Wings on Friday night.
The Hens carried a 2-2 tie into the fifth inning thanks to two-run double by Bryan Holaday in the second. A pair of errors in the fifth by Cale Iorg and Justin Henry allowed the Red Wings to score three and take a commanding 5-2 lead.
Despite the loss, Adam Wilk was solid through five, surrendering two earned runs on seven hits while striking out six
Along with Holaday, John Lindsey went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles to lead the Hens offensively. Argenis Diaz added an RBI with a sacrifice in the ninth.
The Hens take on Rochester again tomorrow with the red hot Casey Crosby on the hill. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Game Notes
Matt Hoffman surrendered a run in relief to snap a seven-game scoreless streak.
Three of the Hens five hits were doubles.
Adam Wilk fell to 4-10 on the season.
