NO WIN-19: The Rochester Red Wings came up short, 9-8, to Norfolk, extending their franchise-record losing streak to 19 games...RHP Joan Adon tossed for 3.0 innings, allowing five earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four Tides in the process...LHP Alberto Baldonado, LHP Francisco Perez, RHP Connor Sadzeck, RHP Matt Cronin and RHP Reed Garrett came on in relief while holding Norfolk to just three earned runs on four hits and five walks while logging five punch outs as a 'pen...Rochester came alive in the batter's box, poking 15 base knocks which included hits across seven different Red Wings...SS CJ Abrams and RF David Dahl each earned two-hit performances while DH Jake Alu and 1B John Nogowski logged three and five-hit games, respectively...RHP Patrick Murphy will get the nod for the Wings this afternoon in his first start since 2019.

...OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH: With the loss last night, Rochester extends their franchise-record losing streak to 19 games...the MLB record, in the modern two-league era, for most consecutive losses is 23 which was achieved by the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies...since the start of the streak:

The Red Wings have been outscored 129-74, and out-homered 27-19.

16 of the 19 losses have been decided by three runs or less.

Rochester is second to last in the International League in AVG (.235)

Red Wings Pitchers have allowed the most earned runs (112).

The club is tied for the third-most errors (15) and has five multi-error games.

JOB NOT ADONE: Pitching in a Red Wings uniform for the first time since 6/22, RHP Joan Adon tossed 3.0 innings, allowing six earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four...the righty now has 12 strikeouts in 10 innings pitched with the Red Wings this season, good for a K/9 of 10.8 and a strike percentage of 63% (P/S: 208/128)

BRING IT: After collecting just four hits through nine innings in Tuesday's game, the Red Wings came out swinging last night, picking up five knocks and scoring five runs in the first inning.

For the first time since 7/23 in Buffalo, all nine batters in the starting lineup reached base safely for Rochester in last night's game.

During their 19-game losing streak, the Wings have scored five or more runs in a game nine times and averaged 3.9 runs per game.

GOT THAT DAHL-G IN HIM: RF David Dahl extended his on-base streak to eight games with a two-RBI single in the first inning of last night's contest...this marks the second time with the Wings that the lefty has recorded multiple RBI in a single game with his last coming on 7/27 against Scranton/WB.

ANDREW HOMER-SON x3: In last night's game LF Andrew Stevenson tied the game, 8-8, in the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo home run, the squad's 100th in 2022...the lefty has now homered in three-straight games dating back to 8/7 against Columbus...this marks the first time in his eight-year professional career that the Louisiana-native has gone yard in three consecutive games...prior to the homer on 8/7, Stevenson went 17 games without a long ball.

THE BIG NOGOWSKI: After collecting multiple hits in each of his first three games as a Red Wing, 1B John Nogowski picked up his fourth multi-hit effort in last night's game, going 5-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored...last night was the first time he recorded a five-hit game in his professional career and was the first time he picked up four hits in a game since 7/7/2021 with Pittsburgh...the Florida-native now has 16 multi-hit games this season between three teams (Triple-A Gwinnett, Double-A Harrisburg, and Rochester).

CALL OF DUTY: CF Alex Call picked up a single and a walk in last night's game, having reached safely four times in his first two games as a Red Wing...going into last night's contest and between two teams (ROC & COL), the Minnesota-native's .419 OBP ranked second in all of the International League behind former Columbus teammate, OF Will Benson (.426)...the righty has now walked the same amount of times that he has struck out this season (51 times each).

ALBERT-SHO: LHP Alberto Baldonado made his 43rd appearance the season, tied for the International League-lead with Toledo LHP Miguel Del Pozo...the 29-year-old tossed 2.0 scoreless innings last night, and has only allowed one ER in his last 11 outings (11.0 IP) good for an ERA of 0.82 since 7/12...during that span, the southpaw has only allowed three hits and one walk, while fanning 12 batters.

RAKE N' JAKE: DH Jake Alu went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two RBI, finishing just a triple shy of the cycle...it marked/ the first time he had collected three hits in a game since 7/23 at Buffalo, and the first time he had collected multiple extra-base hits in a game in his Triple-A career...the Boston College alumni now has three home runs since being promoted on 7/12, all of which have come at Frontier Field.

MURPHY'S LAW: RHP Patrick Murphy will toe the rubber for the Wings, making his first start since 8/24/2019, when he got the nod with Double-A New Hampshire against Binghamton...in 2019, his last season as a starting pitcher, the righty made 18 starts, pitching to a 4.71 ERA across 84.0 innings (44 ER), while striking out 86 batters and walking 27 (3.19 K/BB Ratio)...this season as a reliever, Murphy has posted a 5.73 ERA (21 ER/33.0 IP) and has a career high 11.45 K/9 (min. 10.0 IP)
