Torkelson Hits Walk-Off Blast

Toledo Mud Hens News Release
TOLEDO - The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers 3-0 on Thursday night at Fifth Third Field.
Spencer Torkelson led the way offensively, going 2-5 with the walk-off solo home run and a base hit. Josh Lester smacked his 19th home run for his 70th RBI this season, his lone hit, going 1-5 on the night. Daz Cameron and Ryan Kreidler each picked up two hits, including a double for each. Chris Rabago tallied a double in his 1-4 night. Andre Lipcius picked up an RBI on a bases-loaded walk.
Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 5.0 shutout innings, stymying the Storm Chasers. Rodriguez surrendered one hit and one walk, notching 6.0 strikeouts. Chi Chi Gonzalez *pitched 3.2 innings, allowing three runs on two hits, two walks and three strikeouts. *Miguel Del Pozo pitched the final 0.1 inning, following Gonzalez surrendering the tying home run in the 9th inning. Del Pozo retired the only batter he faced.
What's Next - The Toledo Mud Hens will open up Jeep Fest weekend with game four of the six-game series against the Omaha Storm Chasers. First pitch of that game will be at 7:05 pm.
