Knights Rally to Beat IronPigs

(Allentown, PA) - The Charlotte Knights (42-66) scored three runs against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (59-49) in the top of the ninth inning to take a 3-1 lead and eventually hold on to win 3-2 on Thursday evening.
Kent Emanuel turned in his best outing of the season as he struck out eight batters over seven innings pitched. It's the third time in his minor league career that he struck out a game-high eight batters.
Josh Ockimey homered against Jason Bilous in the bottom of the third inning to give Lehigh Valley a 1-0 lead. The home run was Ockimey's fifth of the season - fourth against Charlotte. Sam Coonrod pitched a scoreless top of the eighth inning in a Good Shepherd Rehabilitation appearance.
Yolbert Sanchez scored on a wild pitch by Nick Duron (4-5) to tie the game at 1-1 in the top of the ninth inning. Tyler Neslony hit an RBI single that scored Jake Burger and Micker Adolfo scored on a bases loaded walk. The 'Pigs scored their second run of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning against Parker Markel as Dalton Guthrie scored on a bases loaded walk.
Anderson Severino (2-3) earned his second win of the season by pitching a scoreless inning. Declan Cronin earned his first save of the season by closing out the bottom of the ninth inning.
'The IronPigs and Charlotte Knights continue their six-game series on Friday evening at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
