ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings today announced their 2013 schedule, which features the Saturday, April 6 home opener vs. Buffalo and games on several major holidays at Frontier Field. The Red Wings open the season April 4 at Buffalo.

The 72-game slate at Frontier Field includes games on Mother's Day (May 12 vs. Columbus), Memorial Day (May 27 vs. Lehigh Valley), Father's Day (June 16 vs. Gwinnett), Fourth of July (vs. Pawtucket), and Labor Day (September 2 vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre), which is the regular-season finale. The Wings will play at home on the Fourth of July for the 10th year in a row. Rochester will play at Frontier on Father's Day after a one-year hiatus. They had played at home on that holiday for nine years in a row from 2003-11.

Frontier Field hosts 14 games in April, 16 in May, 10 in June, 16 in July, and 16 in August/September. The Red Wings, who didn't have a roadtrip longer than eight games in 2012, are slated for a 10-game trip June 21-30 (Louisville, Indianapolis, and Syracuse) and a season-long 11-game trip August 5-16 (Durham, Norfolk, and Buffalo). The club's longest homestand is a 10-game stay August 17-27.

The Red Wings play 26 home games after the All-Star Break, the most of any International League team, including 14 of their final 16 contests beginning August 17.

The 2013 Triple-A All-Star Game will be played in Reno, Nevada of the Pacific Coast League on July 17.

The Red Wings in 2012 are 62-60 and looking for their first winning season since the 2008 club went 74-70. The Red Wings enter tonight's game at Lehigh Valley only four games back of the Wild Card-leading Pawtucket Red Sox with 22 games to play. Rochester returns to Frontier Field on Tuesday for a six-game homestand that includes a four-game series against Indianapolis and a two-game set against the Empire State Yankees.
