ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Three Rochester Red Wings pitchers limited the Indianapolis Indians offense to four hits, and the Red Wings offense clubbed three solo home runs to top the Tribe on Friday night, 4-1.

Indianapolis (52-51) starter Cam Vieaux pitched out of trouble in the bottom of the first, but the Red Wings hit back-to-back homers with two outs in the bottom of the second. Alejandro De Aza smacked the first long ball as he launched it into the right field bullpen. Jimmy Kerrigan followed with a blast over the right-center field wall.

Hunter Owen responded with a home run of his own in the top of the third. It was hit on a line but cleared the wall in left field to put the Indians on the board and cut the lead in half, 2-1.

Rochester (51-53) received a sacrifice fly from Zander Wiel in the bottom of the third, and they scored the final run of the game in the fourth. Kerrigan connected for his second home run of the game, this time he sent it to left field. It expanded Rochester's lead to 4-1.

On a bullpen day, Adam Bray started for the Red Wings. He went four innings before Sam Clay (1-0) entered. Clay retired all nine batters he faced to earn the win. Ian Krol worked the final two frames to pick up his eighth save.

Vieaux (3-2) allowed the four runs over four innings of work and was handed the loss. Yefry Ramirez tossed four shutout innings out of the bullpen for the Tribe.

Indy and Rochester will play game two of the series on Saturday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. Mitch Keller (7-4, 3.10) is scheduled to take the mound for the Tribe. The Indians are currently on a road trip through the International League's North Division, but they return to Victory Field on Monday, July 29.
