
Robnett delivers in ninth as Cats win 3-2 over Memphis

West Sacramento, Calif. - Richie Robnett drove in the game-winning run as the River Cats offense came alive in the ninth inning in Sacramento's 3-2 victory against the Memphis Redbirds at Raley Field on Sunday night.
The River Cats were held to just one hit entering the ninth when Casey Rogowski singled and later scored on Matt Murton's RBI double to begin the inning. After Landon Powell walked, Brooks Conrad moved both runners into scoring position at second and third with one out. Wes Bankston hit a come-backer to the pitcher to score the tying run, leaving the go-ahead run at third base with two outs for Robnett.
Sacramento starter Kirk Saarloos allowed just one run in 8.0 innings in the no-decision. Nashville starter P.J. Walters threw 7.1 innings shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out ten Sacramento batters.
The first-place River Cats moved 4.5 games over second-place Las Vegas in the Pacific Coast League Pacific South standings.
