Robins Heads Back to the AHL

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that F Bobby Robins has been loaned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, his second trip to the AHL in two weeks, while D Scott Lehman was placed on 45-day suspension by the Express.

Robins returns to the AHL after playing two games for the Abbotsford Heat on December 21 and 22, this time with the Providence Bruins. Robins has played 104 games in his AHL career with 11 goals, 11 assists, and 144 PIM. The 30-year old forward currently leads the Express in PIM with 123 in 28 games, and his seven goals places him tied for second on the team in that category. The Peshtigo, WI, native is also third on the team in plus/minus with a plus-eight rating.

Lehman was injured during training camp and subsequently placed on the 21-day injured reserve on October 23. The Express activated Lehman on November 23, and he had since played 11 games for Chicago, tallying two assists along with seven PIM and a minus-two plus/minus rating.
