Phoenix RoadRunners News Release

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, have traded defenseman Taylor Christie to the Victoria Salmon Kings.

The deal completes the Dec. 6, 2007 trade in which the RoadRunners acquired defenseman Bryan Nathe from the Salmon Kings in exchange for future considerations.

Christie collected two goals and 10 points, and a minus-four rating in 24 games with the RoadRunners last season after being acquired along with defenseman Tom Sawatske from the Dayton Bombers on Feb. 6. The Toronto, Ontario native posted career-highs with seven goals and 30 points in 65 games.

Nathe totaled two goals and 11 points in 51 games with the RoadRunners in 2007-08, and two goals and 12 points in 67 combined games.

The RoadRunners return to the ice at US Airways Center in October for their fourth season of ECHL hockey.
