
Road Warriors Trade for Chris Morehouse

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they have acquired left wing Chris Morehouse from the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for future considerations.
Morehouse is in his second professional season after spending last season with Alaska and Cincinnati in the ECHL. In his rookie season, Morehouse earned nine points (5G, 4A) and 147 penalty minutes in 47 games. Morehouse attened training camp in 2009 with the American Hockey League's Peoria Rivermen. The move reunites Morehouse with Road Warriors head coach Dean Stork who was an assistant in Cincinnati last season. The 5-9, 180-pound native of Saint John, New Brunswick played four games with Cincinnati this season and earned 14 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro the 23-year-old winger spent three seasons with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and one season with St. Mary's University in Canadian Interuniversity Sport. With Moncton Morehouse skated in 184 games and produced 68 points (36G, 28A) along with 443 penalty minutes. He was teammates with current Road Warriors goalie Nic Riopel from 2005 to 2008. Morehouse was a part of the 2005-06 QMJHL champion Wilcats team.
To make room for Morehouse on the roster rookie defensman Dan Ringwald was recalled by the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL.
Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors are back on home ice for a pair of games this weekend against the South Carolina Stingrays.
