
Kalamazoo's Versteeg Fined, Suspended

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced that Kalamazoo's Mitch Versteeg has been fined an undisclosed amount and suspended for one game for his actions in ECHL Game #40, Kalamazoo at Florida, on Oct. 27.
Versteeg received a match penalty for slew-footing at 13:58 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #21 - Match Penalty.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Versteeg will miss Kalamazoo's game against Florida on Oct. 29.
