
Salmon Kings Host Promotion-Packed Weekend

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, remind fans that this weekend the organization will be hosting "Fan Appreciation Night" and auctioning off select game-worn Salmon Kings' jerseys.
Sponsored by 100.3 The Q and The Zone @ 91.3, the Salmon Kings' home-opening weekend kicked off last night versus Ontario with games two and three of the series tomorrow and Saturday, October 30th. The United Way has set up a special ticket offer for its members and supporters valid at both weekend games. A portion of every ticket sold through this promotion will be remitted back to the United Way. Coupons are being distributed by the United Way and can be printed at home from their website (www.uwgc.ca), then redeemed at the Select-Your-Tickets Box Office. Throughout the summer, the Salmon Kings handed out $5 discount coupons at various community events, and can also be redeemed at the box office for any of the two weekend contests.
The Salmon Kings are also offering a prize package for group's that attend home-opening weekend. All group leaders will be entered to win two rail seats inside the "Kings Feast Restaurant".
A special live auction will take place following the Saturday game in the main concourse of the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, where fans will have the chance to bid on eight jerseys, including Peter Vandermeer's navy blue jersey he wore during his introductory press conference! Also, throughout the duration of the weekend series, the team will continue to hold a silent auction for select game-worn Salmon Kings' jerseys, including jerseys from Patrick Coulombe and Adam Taylor.
Tomorrow night will be "Fan Appreciation Night", where the Salmon Kings will celebrate the best fans in the ECHL by giving away select prizes throughout the night, including Salmon Kings' rally towels to the first 2,500 people into the arena.
Introduced last night and running through the 2010-11 season, the Salmon Kings are offering their season ticket holders with special access to the "Kings Corner" section of the arena. All season ticket holders can enjoy early access to the building (5:30 p.m.), with the option to purchase food and beverage. Free game notes will also be available to season ticket holders inside the Kings Corner. On Friday, October 29th, King Corner members will be given their 2010-11 King Cards, which give members special discounts at various establishments throughout Greater Victoria.
Marty the Marmot will also present a special performance for all Salmon Kings' fans during the second intermission of Saturday's contest!
