Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - There will be more than first place on the line when the Altoona Curve take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels this weekend in Virginia. The first-place Curve lead the second-place Squirrels by a half-game in the Eastern League's Western Division entering tonight's opener of a four-game series. To raise the stakes, the Curve will bring back its popular "Road to Savings" offer. The offer will give fans $1 off per win, per ticket in all seating levels to next Wednesday's (May 19) game against the Akron Aeros. Tune into all of the action on the Curve Radio Network, including the flagship station, ESPN Radio 1430 WVAM, Altoona. You can also listen online at altoonacurve.com. The Curve will also provide daily updates on the website and on their Facebook page.
"Why not reward our fans for the success the team is having on the field?" said Curve general manager Rob Egan. "First place and the possibility to save up to $4 per ticket to next Wednesday's game are on the line this weekend. We hope to bring the team back to Curve, Pa. in first place by an even bigger margin."
After the four-game set in Richmond, the Curve will start a brief, three-game homestand next Tuesday against Akron. While fans can already enjoy "Two-for-Tuesday" savings (two-for-ones on tickets, hot dogs, and popcorn) for the first game of the series against the Aeros, the "Road to Savings" will give them an opportunity to save for Wednesday's contest, as well. The finale of the series against Akron is next Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and is the last of the School Kids' Day games on the schedule. For tickets, call 877-99-CURVE, log on to altoonacurve.com, or visit the Curve box office at Blair County Ballpark.
