Reading Fightin Phils News Release

Today, in the opening game of a four-game set with the Akron Aeros, the R-Phils (12-20) will send LHP Yohan Flande (1-3, 2.80) to the hill in hopes of snapping their two-game losing skid. Flande, 24, looks to regain the form he showed in April, when he posted an 0-2 mark with a 1.52 ERA over four games. In May, the Dominican native has gone 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA over two starts. His last outing, which was against tonight's opponent, Flande allowed five runs (four earned) over 5.1 innings pitched and was saddled with the loss.

Taking the hill for the Aeros (13-20) will be LHP Eric Berger (0-1, 12.54). Berger, a product of Arizona University, started against the R-Phils in Reading on May 8 and was effective over four innings. The 24-year-old lefty will take the hill for just the fourth time this season, and will look to lead the Aeros to just their fourth win at home this season (3-11).

Join Brian Seltzer, who will have the call for the R-Phils pre-game show on ESPN Radio 1240 AM WIOV and readingphillies.com beginning at 6:35 p.m. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. from Akron, OH.
