Bowie Baysox Make Roster Moves

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce three roster moves. FF Paco Figueroa was transferred to class Triple-A Norfolk, C Phil Britton was transferred to class Single-A Aberdeen and OF Matt Angle was activated from the Disabled List. With the moves, the Baysox currently have 23 active players on the 24-man roster.

Figueroa played in 175 games for the Baysox over three seasons. This year, he led the Baysox with a .306 (33-108) batting average in 28 games with four doubles, two triples, one home run and 10 RBIs.

Britton played in 10 games for Bowie, batting .167 (6-36) with three doubles and two RBIs. Britton is in his first season in the Orioles organization after signing as a minor league free agent in January.

Angle has been on the disabled list since the beginning of the season. He spent eight games with the Baysox last year, batting .357 (10-28) with one double and one RBI. He also played in 123 games for Frederick last year, hitting .289 (138-478) with 17 doubles and 40 stolen bases. In his three year minor league career, he has successfully swiped 113 bags in 140 attempts.
