Rancho Cucamonga, CA. - In the Modesto Nuts' most lopsided victory of the season, Joe Rizzo and Evan White drove in a combined seven runs to lead the 11-4 defeat over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Wednesday morning at LoanMart Field.
In the third inning, the Nuts (11-16) grabbed their first lead of the game on Evan White's RBI single.
After the Quakes (12-15) tied it in the third on Hamlet Marte's home run, the Nuts came back with a pair of runs to take the lead in the fifth. Joe Rizzo lifted a sac fly to left before Evan White drilled a RBI double into left-center field.
In the sixth, the Nuts racked up another five runs. Rizzo drove in two and Garth Morgan cracked a homer. Rizzo capped his five-RBI day with a two-run double in seventh.
