Rivermen Trainer Going to All-Star Game

This afternoon the East Coast Hockey League announced the coaches, athletic trainers, and equipment managers for the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game. Peoria Rivermen athletic trainer, Greg Eberle, was selected to represent the Rivermen and the Northern Conference at the All-Star event on January 21&22 at Teco Arena in Estero, Florida.

Eberle is in his 11th season as the head athletic trainer for the Rivermen. His main duties are to keep the players healthy and in shape during the season. Rivermen President, John Butler, said, "Eberle is a NHL-caliber athletic trainer. He does a great job for us and is well deserving of this honor. We are proud that he has been selected to represent the Rivermen at the All-Star game." Eberle and his wife, Teresa, reside in Pekin, Illinois with their two children, Caitlin and Ian. In his free time he enjoys bowling, golf and following NASCAR.

WWE Superstar Shawn Michaels will make an appearance at this Friday's Rivermen game versus Baton Rouge. He will sign autographs from 6-8pm. Tickets start at just $10.
