
Pirates, CMP Team To Help Make-A-Wish

PORTLAND, ME - The Portland Pirates and Central Maine Power Company are partnering to help deliver the power of a wish. The Pirates are offering coupons, included in the CMP monthly newsletter, good for $3 off every ticket purchased for the Pirates' game on Saturday, January 18th against the St. John's Maple Leafs. Two dollars from each discounted ticket sold will be donated by the Pirates to the Make-A-Wish foundation of Maine. The newsletter will be distributed to CMP customers in their monthly statements.
"'Make-A-Wish' was added to the Pirates' list of core charities this past summer and we're pleased that we can contribute to their on-going efforts," said Brian Petrovek, Pirates' CEO. "By partnering with Central Maine Power, we can reach every household in our market in a unique way. We're looking forward to a successful fundraiser."
Under the special pricing plan, Captain's Deck tickets will cost $15, Main Deck tickets will be $12 and Quarter Deck seats will be just $7. CMP customers need only to present their monthly newsletter at the Cumberland County Civic Center box office for advance sales or on game night to take advantage of the offer.

"To continue to fulfill our mission of providing a wish for Maine children who have a life-threatening illness, we depend on the support from the public as well as companies and organizations. We hope Pirates fans will take advantage of this great offer to see an exciting game as well as support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine."
The Pirates play their next three games on the road. They'll return home on Thursday, December 26th when they host the Saint John Flames at 7:05 p.m. They'll visit Saint John on Friday before returning home on Saturday, December 28th to host Providence at 7:05 p.m. Tickets to these and all Pirates' home games are on sale at the Civic Center box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.
