Friday is Wild Thornberry\'s Night

Eliza and Donny from Nickelodeon's hit television show and the upcoming motion picture The Wild Thornberry's will be appearing at this Friday's Phantoms game to sign autographs and take pictures with all their fans who bring cameras. The first 2,000 kids will also receive a free Wild Thornberry's coloring sheet and select fans will win Wild Thornberry's movie tickets and prize packs.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

It will be CN8 Night on Friday, Dec. 27. The first 2,000 kids in attendance will receive a hockey thunderstick and 1,500 fans will get a Frisbee after the game, both compliments of CN8. Stop by the CN8 table on the concourse to win prizes and meet Arthur Fennell, the principal anchor and managing editor for CN8's 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. newscasts.

ONLINE AUCTION ENDS THURSDAY

The current online auction ends this Thursday, Dec. 19. Log on to www.phantomshockey.com to place your bid on an autographed Brad Tiley stick, four tickets and a Zamboni ride between periods of the Phantoms' game on Jan. 5, and a package of pucks Peter White, Mark Greig, Kirby Law, Andre Savage and Ian MacNeil all scored with and autographed.

FIRST JERSEY AUCTION SET FOR FRIDAY

The Phantoms Wives Charity Foundation, a division of the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation, will hold the first jersey auction of the season this Friday, Dec. 20. The team will be wearing special red & green Holiday jerseys during its game vs. Hershey before auctioning them off following the match in Bullies.

The Phantoms Wives Charity Foundation is dedicating all fund-raising efforts this season to the National Adoption Center, a private, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia that has found families for more than 19,000 children across the United States. In their first event of the 2002-03 campaign, the Wives raised $1,470 at the third annual player bachelor auction on Nov. 15. Fans placed bids at the Phantoms Wives table for the chance to go on a date with one of six single Phantoms players, as well as Mix 95.7 afternoon disc jockey Rick Stacy. Defenseman Wade Skolney received the highest bid at $425.

The second jersey auction will take place on Sunday, March 23 when the Phantoms wear replicas jerseys of the old Philadelphia Firebirds (1974-77 NAHL,1977-79 AHL).

NEXT CN8 TELECAST ON FRIDAY

CN8, the Comcast Network, is airing a total of 11 Phantoms games throughout the 2002-03 season, with the next telecast set for this Friday, Dec. 20 against the Hershey Bears. The CN8 broadcast team once again features Tim Saunders, Orest Kindrachuk and Mick Moninghoff.

TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE

Comcast SportsNet and the Phantoms are collecting toys for needy children throughout the Philadelphia region by teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps for their sixth annual Toys For Tots Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring NEW, unwrapped, non-violent toys this Friday's Phantoms game. Bring a smile to a child's face this upcoming holiday season through the Toys For Tots Drive.

Defenseman Jim Vandermeer and right wing Mike Siklenka will be meeting the public and signing autographs at Boscov's in Echelon Mall (Voorhees, N.J.) on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

LEPHART & STAFFORD TO VISIT TWO SOUTH JERSEY HOSPITALS

Forwards Mike Lephart and Ben Stafford, team mascot Phlex, Santa Claus, and CBD Development Group President David Waronker will be visiting patients at two South Jersey hospitals on Tuesday, Dec. 17. They will be signing autographs and delivering gifts to patients at Our Lady of Lourdes at 2:30 p.m., and then at Cooper Hospital at 3:30. The CBD Development Group runs the Hockey 4 Kids program, a non-profit charitable foundation that helps mentally, physically, and economically challenged children of the Delaware Valley.

WHITE ON "RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" THIS WEEK

Center Peter White will be this week's guest on "Rumble with the Phantoms," which airs every Wednesday from 4:30-5:00 p.m. on WNJC (1360 AM). Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every week.

REGISTRATION UNDER WAY FOR KIDS RUN THE SHOW NIGHT

Children ages 14 and under can stop by the Kids Club table through Jan. 5 to sign up for the Phantoms' annual Kids Run The Show Night on Jan. 12. Winners will have the chance to join the Phantoms' marketing, sales, public relations, operations, box office, fan development, game production and vice president staffs for a night.

AHL ALL-STAR BALLOTING UNDER WAY

Fan balloting for the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic is under way, exclusively on the official web site of the AHL, theahl.com. Fans have the opportunity to vote for the most deserving AHL players by visiting theahl.com and completing the official AHL All-Star Fan Ballot. The players receiving the most votes by position will earn berths in the starting lineups of both the Canadian AHL All-Star team and the PlanetUSA AHL All-Star team. A committee of AHL coaches will select the remaining All-Stars, and all 28 clubs will be represented on the final rosters.

By completing the official ballot, fans will be entered to win various prizes, including the grand prize of an autographed game-worn jersey from the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic. Ten second-prize winners will each win an autographed commemorative magazine from the event, and 10 third-prize winners will receive an official 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic T-shirt. Online fan balloting at theahl.com will end at 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 29.

LIVE BAND IN BULLIES EVERY FRIDAY

Stick around after every Friday home game to hear the Delaware Valley's best and brightest bands perform live inside Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant. Sound Advice will be the featured entertainment this Friday, Dec. 20.

FOOSBALL TOURNAMENT EVERY FRIDAY

Budweiser will be sponsoring a foosball tournament in Bullies before every Friday night home game this season. Two-person teams will compete from 6:00-7:00 p.m., with each winning team receiving two tickets to the Phantoms' final regular-season Friday game on April 4, so they can compete in the final round that night. The champions will win a free foosball table, as well as a Phantoms Fantasy Pack that includes game tickets, dinner in Bullies and the opportunity to watch pre-game warm-ups from the bench.

STUDENT TICKETS JUST $8 ON WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS

College and high school students with valid student IDs can attend all Phantoms games on Wednesdays and Fridays this season for just $8.
