Peoria Rivermen News Release

Peoria Rivermen General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald announced today that the team has recalled left wing Cam Keith from the ECHL's Alaska Aces while assigning right wing Josh Soares to the club.

In five games with the Rivermen, the 25-year-old Hamilton, Ontario native netted two goals and four points with a plus-2 rating and no penalty minutes. Soares scored a goal and added an assist for his first multi-point AHL game on December 30 against Iowa . He was selected to the ECHL's Western Conference All-Star Team thanks to 14 goals and 30 points in just 24 games for the Aces prior to his recall.

Rivermen fans know Keith's name, as the 6-3, 213 lb. winger spent part of the 2005-06 and the entire 2006-07 season in Peoria . He also skated in two games for the team earlier this season, totaling 115 games with the club, 12 goals, 19 assists, and 31 points. Keith has also skated in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf*Pack and St. John's Maple Leafs.

Keith will join the team in time for its seven-game road swing that begins this Friday night in Grand Rapids against the Griffins at 6 pm CST. Peoria will return home on a Nesquik 2-for-Tuesday against the San Antonio Rampage January 22 at 7 pm. Tickets are on sale now for all remaining Rivermen home games via the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, all TicketMaster locations, on line at www.TicketMaster.com, or charge by phone at (309) 676-8700.
