Canucks Recall McIver

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled defenceman Nathan McIver from the Moose.

McIver, 23, has appeared in 28 games so far this season with the Moose where he's scored two goals and two assists for four points and 65 penalty minutes. He scored the game-winning goal Nov. 10/07 vs. Milwaukee and then scored the overtime winner Dec. 22/07 vs. Hamilton. The Summerside, PEI native has played in 157 career games with the Moose and has scored four goals and 10 assists for 14 points and 359 penalty minutes in that span. McIver made his National Hockey League debut last season for Vancouver versus the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 9/06 and collected seven penalty minutes.

McIver was originally Vancouver's eighth round draft choice, 254th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
