RiverKings Play Two This Weekend
October 30, 2009 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Mississippi RiverKings News Release
(Southaven, MS) --- The RiverKings play two home games this weekend in Southaven, starting tonight when they host the Tulsa Oilers in a 7:05 PM contest. The RiverKings (3-3-0) look to bounce back from Sunday's loss at home to Wichita and move above the.500 mark. The Oilers are 3-1-0 entering tonight's game and already have beaten the RiverKings once on Mississippi ice.
Tomorrow, it's another quick turnaround for the RiverKings, who host the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in a 3:05 PM afternoon matinee in Southaven. This will be the first regular season meeting between the Northern Conference rivals, who split a pair of pre-season games back in the first part of October. Fans are urged to come in costume and take part in a costume contest that will be part of the day's events. The RiverKings will also be wearing special-Halloween themed jerseys that will be auctioned off at the conclusion of the game. Funds raised from the jersey auction will go to the Jr. StreetKings youth roller hockey program.
The four-game homestand concludes Tuesday night, November 3rd, when the RiverKings host the defending CHL champion Texas Brahmas in a 7:05 PM game in Southaven.
Tickets for RiverKings hockey are available through Ticketmaster and the arena box office. For more information, call 662-342-1755 or go online to www.riverkings.com.
