
RiverKings Battle Mudbugs Tonight

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Tonight, the Mississippi RiverKings wrap up a home weekend series, coming off last night's 7-3 victory over the Texas Brahmas with Mudbugs in mind this evening. Northern Conference rival Bossier-Shreveport comes to the DeSoto Civic Center for a 7:05 PM game.
Mississippi is 2-5-1 against Bossier-Shreveport this year, with the Mudbugs winning the last meeting by a 6-1 score at the DCC in early February.
The RiverKings' last victory against Bossier-Shreveport came December 26th by a 3-1 score in Louisiana.
Broadcast coverage will be on Sports 56, WHBQ-AM 560 with Bob Bakken again providing the play-by-play. Pre-game coverage starts the evening off tonight at 7:00 PM.

Mississippi enters tonight's game with a record of 30-23-7 for 67 points and fourth place in the CHL Northern Conference, three more than fifth-place Missouri and five behind Bossier-Shreveport in third place.
RiverKings history is being made tonight as the number 13 jersey of all-time scoring leader Don Parsons is retired. There will be a pre-game video chronicling the RiverKings career of Parsons along with the unveiling of the banner that will remain unfurled from the rafters of the DeSoto Civic Center.

Following tonight's game, the RiverKings have a re-match with the Mudbugs in Louisiana Tuesday, March 16th. The regular season ends next weekend at home for the RiverKings in a two-game set with the Tulsa Oilers on Friday and Saturday in Southaven. Both nights, the action starts at 7:05 PM.
