RiverKings Announce Challenge Round Selection Show

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - With their win on Saturday night, the RiverKings clinched a spot in this year's postseason and with the new pick-your-opponent format for the first round, the RiverKings have announced the official Challenge Round Selection Show.

Starting at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 8th, RiverKings players, Head Coach Derek Landmesser, front office staff, and fans will gather at Old Style Bar-B-Q in Olive Branch for the official Selection Show. The event will showcase the live broadcast of the official SPHL Challenge Round Show hosted by Birmingham Bulls radio voice Eli Gold and former NHLer and current Nashville Predators color analyst Terry Crisp. In conjunction with the other nine teams in the SPHL, the event will be streamed on Facebook Live and live look-ins on Old Style Bar-B-Q will show the fans and players reactions when a team selects Mississippi as their opponent for the Challenge Round,

The event is free to attend, and fans are encouraged to wear their black and gold in support of the RiverKings as they embark on their eleventh straight postseason run, their seventh straight under Head Coach Derek Landmesser. Shortly after the selection show, the official schedule for the Challenge Round will be released based on the matchups.

The RiverKings finish up the regular season this weekend with two games at Planters Bank Ice at Landers Center. Friday night versus Huntsville is the final Fresh Friday presented by Valpak where fans can get a hot dog, soda, ticket and exclusive RiverKings edition sunglasses for only $16. On Saturday the RiverKings welcome Fayetteville to town for the regular season Finale. For tickets to either game, visit riverkings.com/events.
