RiverHawks open final first-half homestand Tuesday

LOVES PARK, Ill. - A corporate buyout, family savings and dollar beers highlight the next three nights at Road Ranger Stadium. The Rockford RiverHawks host Traverse City in their final homestand before the Frontier League All-Star Break, which starts at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.

All three games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. starts.

The Plumbers & Pipefitters union has bought out the stadium for Tuesday's game. It's also a Two-for Tuesday, when hot dogs are buy one, get one free.

On Wednesday, it's Family Value Night. Families can get four tickets, four dogs and four soft drinks for $40.

The fun gets underway early with Thursday's Guns N' Hoses Police-Firefighters game at 4:05 p.m. The game will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Harlem Community Center and the National Fire Sprinkler Association. It's also a Miller Lite/104.9 - the X Dollar Beer Night all night long.

The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 17th season.
