RiverHawks, Grizzlies to Complete Tie Game, Then Play Season Finale

SAUGET, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks and Gateway Grizzlies will finish Saturday's tie game, then finish the season.

The RiverHawks and Grizzlies will pick up Saturday's 5-5 tie and play extra innings beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday at GCS Ballpark. The teams will then play Sunday's regularly scheduled game at 6:05 p.m.

The early game was the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader. Gateway won the opener, 13-0.

The early game will not be broadcast. The scheduled game will be aired beginning at 5:50 p.m. on WNTA-FM (100.5).

The remnants of Hurricane Issac played havoc Saturday. The first game was delayed 11 minutes in the bottom of the third because of rain. Rain started early in the second game and continued nearly without interruption. Play was halted after the seven regulation innings with the game tied.
