
RiverDogs' Radio Announcer to Take Gilroy's Slammer Pizza Challenge

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston RiverDogs radio play-by-play man Danny Reed will participate in the Gilroy's Slammer Pizza Challenge presented by Gilroy's Pizza Pub on King Street in downtown Charleston on Wednesday, June 8 at 7 p.m.
Reed and James Island native Will Bond will join forces in attempting to down a 28-inch Gilroy's pizza with five toppings of the team's choosing, which can weigh in excess of seven pounds.
If the super pie is demolished in less than one hour, a $500 cash prize is awarded. If the team completes the challenge, Reed will donate his half of the winnings to the MUSC Storm Eye Institute.
